Healthtech Innovation Hackathon
Organised by CHRI (Centre for Health Research Innovation)

The HealthTech Innovation Hackathon, organized by CHRI (Centre for Health Research & Innovation) in partnership with PATH and GSK cares- a CSR initiative, was launched to develop innovative and scalable solutions for the safe disposal of unused and expired antibiotics to help mitigate Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Maharashtra. The initiative brought together startups, technologists, healthcare professionals, innovators, and public health experts to create technology-driven and community-focused solutions that promote responsible antibiotic disposal, strengthen public awareness, and support sustainable healthcare practices.
VaidyaRx participated in the hackathon through the development of an antimicrobial safe disposal solution on the existing VaidyaRx application, aimed at improving antimicrobial stewardship, community awareness, and safe disposal practices for unused and expired medicines. The project was selected among the Top 7 Finalists in the HealthTech Innovation Hackathon for its scalable and impactful approach toward addressing AMR challenges in Maharashtra.
